Advisory Committee on Mathematics Education (ACME)

Our Current Work

ACME is based and meets at The Royal Society. It meets formally as a Committee 12 times a year and its forthcoming meetings are scheduled to take place on the following dates:

2010
9 September, 7 October, 4 November, 2 December.

2011
13 January, 3 February, 3 March, 7 April, 5 May, 9 June, 14 July, 8 September, 6 October, 3 November, 1st December.

ACME is reactive to Government and provides constructive comments on its plans in an informal way.  ACME is also proactive in setting out position papers on issues of current and future interest. ACME's policy studies on key issues in mathematics education usually last about 9-12 months and result in a published report with recommendations. An over view of ACME's projects and other work can be viewed in more detail by following the links on the navigation on the left.
